May 4 Austin, TX

We drove from San Antonio to Austin and spent 2 days at the Austin Lone Star "Resort". http://www.austinlonestar.com/ This was, without a doubt, one of the worst places I have ever stayed.

The weather was rainy and dreary but we were looking forward to visiting Austin and seeing the Texas Capitol Building.




After seeing the Granite Mountain while in Marble Falls (see April 26 post) it made the building even more awesome.

This is the statue on top of the capitol building.

I wish the weather had not been so dreary so that I would have better pictures.


We did not do much else. Mainly drove around just looking at the sights.
